Wonder Festival Winter 2012 Highlights

Held bi-annually, Wonder Festival, or WonFest as it is often known, is probably the biggest toy and model show on the Japanese calendar, with many companies choosing the occasion to unveil their brand new lines and figures.

The first major show of 2012 was dominated by Good Smile Company and their subsidiary Max Factory, with the unveiling of more than 20 new Nendoroids and a huge amount of new Figmas as well, including  one of the biggest and most welcome surprises of the show in the form of Figma Link from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. There were also much anticipated new scale figures for Madoka from Puella Magi Madoka Magica and the Princess of the Crystal from Mawaru Penguindrum.

The other companies put a more than respectable fight however, with Alter bringing out additions to their Nanoha and Durarara! lineups, Megahouse showing off some more Tiger & Bunny gear and all sides showing some love for Persona 4. We’ve collected some of the highlights in the gallery below. What are you looking forward to getting you hands on?
