We’re drawing towards the end of the summer show season in Japan, but last weekends Chara-Hobby event was arguably one of the biggest yet, with all the major manufacturers in attendance to show off their wares, display finished designs and new prototypes and make announcements. Among the torrent of news, Good Smile Company announced it was working on Metroid: Other M pieces, namely a 1/8 scale Zero Suit Samus and a Figma version of Varia Suit Samus, alongside first looks at Figma Sayaka Miki from Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Figma Guts from Beserk. Bandai showed up in force, bringing with them Tiger and Bunny, One Piece, Kamen Rider and a great chance to see the first kits from the all new Gundam AGE series due to premiere this autumn.
There’s far too much to recap in a single post, but the gallery below contains just some of the highlights of the show. Hopefully you’ll be seeing these on your favourite web stores and here on Anime Focus in upcoming reviews very soon!
